Nike announce “Transform Hydra” Hypervenoms ahead of the Champions League final
By Ed Stansfield

Nike have continued the Hypervenom hype by announcing a brand new pair, featuring colour changing technology, ahead of the Champions League final in Munich.

The “Transform Hydra” originally appears to be a translucent grey colour, but any contact with water transforms the upper into a vibrant blue and black colourway, with a light blue sole and a white swoosh.

Unfortunately for Nike and Inter Milan forward Lauraro Martinez, the sun is set to shine all day in Bavaria on Saturday, the day of the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain.

The Argentine is set to debut the new boots in the game, as Inter aim to deny PSG the opportunity to win their first Champions League title in their history.

Unlike the OG Orange/Black Hypervenom released a few days ago, this drop features a brand new colourway.

This isn’t the first time Nike have experimented with colour changing technology on their boots. In 2015, they released the “Transform” Hypervenom, which changed from jet black to orange when heated up.

Given the 28-degree weather forecast for the final, maybe the latter pair of Hypervenoms are more suited to the occasion.

The OG Hypervenoms sold out in just a few minutes online, so expect a proper scramble if you want to pick up a pair of “Transform” Hypervenoms when they release on June 2nd.

Let’s hope for not just another entertaining Champions League final, but also a few unexpected showers over the Allianz Arena.
